What is BarberSched?

A scheduling app that shows you who's actually coming today — not just a list of names. Built for barbers, salons, groomers, lawn care, and trainers. The core is a confirmation dashboard: open the app, see who's confirmed, who hasn't responded, and who has a history of no-shows.

How much does it cost?

Three tiers: BarberSched ($8/mo), BarberSched Books ($15/mo), and BarberSched Shop ($23/mo). Plus $0.03 per text message. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial with all features — no credit card required.

How does the free trial work?

14 days. All features at your tier level. No limitations, no feature gating. After 14 days, pick your plan and enter payment. During the trial you're already building your client list and sending reminders — switching cost builds immediately.

Do my clients need to download an app?

No. Clients book through a web link you share (Instagram bio, Google listing, texts). They confirm appointments by replying "1" to a text. No app download required.

How do reminders work?

You pick a reminder profile: Simple (morning text to all clients), Standard (evening before + morning of), or Custom (build your own rules). Reminders respect textable hours — yours and your clients'. Nobody gets texted at 6am.

What if a client doesn't respond?

They show up as "UNCONFIRMED" on your day view with their reliability score. You can tap to text them directly or release the slot to your waitlist.

How does the waitlist work?

Clients join your waitlist for preferred times. When a slot opens (cancellation or release), the next person gets an auto-offer with a timed claim window. If they don't claim, it cascades to the next person.

Can I use my existing Square reader?

Yes. At checkout, BarberSched hands off to your Square app with the amount pre-filled. Same tip screen, same receipt. You land back in BarberSched after payment. Zero learning curve.

What if I don't have Square?

BarberSched includes native payments through Stripe Connect. Clients pay in-app, money deposits to your bank. Standard processing fees. No separate merchant account needed.

Can clients reschedule themselves?

Yes. The confirmation text includes a link. Clients can reschedule or cancel through a mobile web page showing your real availability. No phone call, no "call us to reschedule."

What about recurring clients?

One-tap recurring bookings: "Every 3 weeks, same time." Auto-generates appointments for 6-12 months. Your regulars never have to rebook.

How do I cancel?

Cancel any time from Settings. No contracts, no cancellation fees, no "talk to our retention team." Your data can be exported.
